Pupils of Presidential Schools in the Senate

The Agency for Educational Institutions of the President of Uzbekistan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis organized a meeting of graduates of Presidential schools and Senators in the new building of the Senate.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Narbayeva, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports Sayfullaev, Director of the Agency Umarova, 92 graduates of Presidential schools in Nukus, Khiva, Namangan and Tashkent, as well as media representatives.

During the event, the youngsters familiarized with the work being done in Uzbekistan, major changes, parliamentary activities, in particular, the working day of the Senate and Senators, the discussion of laws in the plenary hall.

Currently, 4 Presidential schools in the country, whose graduates are entering the adulthood in 2022.

As of this year, 24 people have graduated from the Presidential School in Tashkent, 24 from the Presidential School in Khiva, 22 from the Presidential School in Namangan and 22 from the Presidential School in Nukus.

Currently, over 65% of Presidential School graduates have applied to study at the New Uzbekistan University. There are also winners of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation competition.

On top of that, alumni have received offers to study at more than 100 top local and international prestigious foreign universities, including the University of Arizona, the University of Miami, the University of Bristol, and the University of California, which are among the top 1,000. In particular, in 2021-2022, graduates of the Presidential Schools received a total of more than $ 27 million in full grants from foreign universities.

During the event, Tanzila Narbayeva, Senate Speaker, sent her congratulations to graduates of the Presidential schools.
